VNR Produces National Coverage for Hospital

When Lehigh Valley Hospital and Health Network wanted to introduce a tele-intensivist system that would provide remote monitoring of patients in intensive care units, it asked Kimball Communications to generate regional and national television news coverage for this advanced system.

Kimball formulated a strategy that included the production of a video news release (VNR), featuring compelling footage and interviews with the president of the Society for Critical Care Medicine, the chief of critical care medicine at LVHHN and a patient. Following a tight production schedule before the summer holiday season, the VNR was completed in June and downloaded via satellite to television stations nationally.

The VNR not only aired on three network affiliates in the nearby Philadelphia market, but it aired in major markets that included Denver, Las Vegas and Tucson, and was picked up as a feature by a satellite television network.
