When Innovative Office Products wanted to get the word out — without advertising — about its new CinemaLift mounting arm for the Apple Cinema Display, it turned to Kimball Communications. Kimball launched a public relations campaign that combined exposure at the Macworld Expo with a media relations effort that put the flexible mounting arm in the hands of reviewers at top Macintosh media.
The result was reviews in publications such as Macworld, Macworld U.K., MacHome, MacTech, MacTeens, the Mcacdaddy segment on KGO 810-AM in San Francisco and several online Mac newsletters, such as TidBits. This exposure not only increased direct sales and web site traffic (www.lcdarms.com), but helped Innovative build a distribution network with Apple resellers across the country.
