Turning "Likes" Into Reservations

Renowned ad agency (and longtime Kimball partner) DFA contacted Kimball Communications to support the social media and public relations efforts of Cove Haven Entertainment Resorts (CHER), a family of all-inclusive couples resorts in the Poconos of Northeastern Pennsylvania.
We set out to invigorate their social media efforts and integrate these campaigns with their overall public relations strategy. Drawing on the strengths of CHER’s fan base of loyal guests and their world-famous themed rooms, we have diversified and strengthened CHER’s social media presence. In just months, we launched a Twitter account and YouTube channel, while turning their Facebook page into a lively community of more than 10,000 enthusiastic and highly engaged fans.
These social media efforts meshed perfectly with traditional media relations activity, which included a successful press tour, articles in major New York media, and continuous coverage by romance and travel blogs – all focusing on CHER’s mission to help couples reconnect.
The bottom line? Those likes, tweets and articles generated measurable increases in reservations and ticket sales, as well as a positive turn on popular travel ratings site Trip Advisor.
